Your implicit assumption with the web dev is that this scales. Unfortunately, that may not be the case.

I'm not sure this is true. I think schools are forced to pass people they shouldn't by policy. But does that mean they barely teach fundamentals?

I am not sure that is a useful principle. I tend to keep an umbrella around in the car regardless whether the forecast calls for rain. Do these people similarly avoid stock markets, insurance, and similar products in the risk space?

Yes. Arresting people for civil infractions (such as overstaying a visa, or even citizens caught in drag nets or protests) and taking them to 3rd party nations for detention is definitely a tactic a totalitarian police state would employ. P

What a cool story. Not tech for tech's sake, but tech that grows into something simpler, more efficient, and more world-opening for something as wonderful as the Vidalia onion

How I wish such blithe, naive approaches could solve the major social quandries of our time. Unfortunately experience and time have proven lack of support is a death sentence to so many, to the detriment of all.

I want to sign up for a service that charges people a penny to deliver an email to me -- otherwise the email is undeliverable. Even a minor cost to delivery will dramatically reduce spam.

The only acceptable opinion today should be that slavery of all stripes, practiced both before the emancipation proclamation, as well as today in both prison settings and trafficking, is abhorrent.

GDP produced divided by costs required measures intensity. These will be typically normalized (inflation removed) or, if a ratio, can be nominal since both have the inflation ratioed out. GDP is known to be an imperfect measure, especially

Not all AI algorithms are neural networks. So from the get go, you are conflating terms to propose an underspecified and improperly esoteric worldview. We invented AI. That the structure of a neuron inspired one subsystem architecture frame

I disagree strongly. AI came from smart engineering and design applied to algorithms developed for intellectual curiosity. It was absolutely invented.

Proton allows you to alias. But a lot of places prevent aliases, which is silly. I shouldn't have to give an email to demo your chatbot.

No, really. You could make a city be defended but there was no great way to make a nation state before gunpowder without natural barriers in place. Further, trade goods are found over large distances, which doesn't work over large dist

What, your ancestors between 600k years ago up to 150 years ago are a joke to you? Human history began with European Great Powers? Göbekli tepe easily refutes your isolationism, as does stone- and bronze-age globalism.
