Thanks for the feedback, The crosses are definitely supposed to be hidden away and not something that you would use all of the time. For the username rolldown's, it is a shame they can't work a bit faster but it's just the nature of the bea

The extension is mainly about additional functionality and ease of use over styling, let me know if you give it a try!

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I wonder why the filter popup is showing a lot for you, it should only appear if you hover over the 'x' symbol on the far right - this should be out of the way for most browsing.

Hey, The extension queries Google's social graph API to gather information about users profiles - you can find details here: https://developers.google.com/social-graph/

Haha, thankyou very much. Hopefully the endless scrolling takes away some of the pain of more readable titles ;-)

I've been working on and off on this for a little while, the extension focusses on improved usability rather than design. I can almost guarantee that after a day you won't want to go back to regular Hacker News. Give it a try, features incl

Clipping issues galore, but still a great demo of where things are going :-)

A great improvement over the previous design, and more importantly it's approximately 100x faster to navigate.

Hey Jason, I'm the main guy behind the UX on Buffer - thanks for such a detailed writeup of the app! I'll reply with some indepth thoughts on your blog soon... By the way, you might want to remove the bit about the blue email icon - that ha

It is tested in Chrome, Firefox and Opera. Should work in IE9 but not tested yet. Which browsers do you want? :p

Ok, i've updated this so the only UA sniffing is to discount Safari as it appears to have all the required support but doesn't allow dynamic favicons. I'm quite sure there isn't a way to feature detect this. Opera now works a treat :)

The library does use feature detection to detect canvas support, browser sniffing is only to fix some small rendering differences between browsers.

Great site, simple and gets the product across well. It might be nice to have some examples of what the service could be used for, why it is/will be better than setting up cron manually.

Good find! I'll tackle it this evening, shouldn't be too difficult to fix, hopefully the loss of quality resizing should be unnoticeable.

Great idea, something like this would be really nice to see integrated into the browser tabs themselves.
