Information does go around even without the internet - doubt that iranians do not know about the things their government is doing in those mass executions.

That seems a bit dramatic - do you have sources for the things you mentioned? I'd like to learn more.

If my countrymen were killed by my government by the thousands, I'd not be super happy about defending that government. If the enemy does the same kind of mindless killing to the civilians, then I would have different ideas.

The ads on default search partner is a fine compromise - reality is that projects need money, and if this helps them (and makes it less dependant on donations) then great! As long as the ad blocking happens elsewhere, it is fine. I need to

Logic does not work, because alcohol in this case is a product being purchased - Kids can go to the store and buy other things. So alcohol is more like a gambling website.

Could you tell more about the stack? And also, you clearly know your way around it, so would be curious to hear your thoughts about the language itself - what do you like about it?

Really cool article! The solution to wrap the engine in a modern UI was a good one. I would have fallen to the trap of trying to port the whole thing, like all the other companies did. Out of curiosity, how are the things tested? Or is chec

Good luck doing that without proper tests - I assume finance stuff is quite complicated and blanked porting with AI is insanely difficult, especially companies have failed in porting it by hand.

Got to round 8 - was too slow with the notifications popping up! How many of these are real dark patterns? The "new entry suddenly prepended to the list" one I have seen before.

I'm "excited" for the era of different locally run LLMs get to have ads baked into them... People start selling ad-space to inject into their training/tuning data. Could be quite lucrative.

Yes, the quality has gone down, but not much quality can be had in 140 characters in the first place - so it is impressive that it was managed in the first place. > their users are either racists, bots, or simply garbage people It is a b
