For the last time: If I read a book and use an idea in it and you sue me for part of that idea, you will get laughed out of the court room. If I do it with 100 books you will still get laughed out of the court room. AI is only different bec

What is considered history is basically only what is written down. That means that everything that wasn't written down, and everything that happened before we invented writing, is lost. This includes almost all ordinary peoples lives,

We know that most shoplifting is committed by a small group[0], so we don't need to profile anybody, we can just ban people when they are convicted of their second theft (so as to avoid youngsters being stupid). [0]: https:/

I don't know that I would put Netflix and youtube in the same category, but regardless I now don't want to pay Google for youtube just to spite them. Instead I built and elaborate and very overenginered hack that pulls RSS feeds f

The irony is that Facebook doesn't use the information you give them. I get garbage tier ads because I block their tracking, but with the information that I gave them, specifically that I graduated with a CS degree 10 years ago, they s

TOS are a joke made up by lawyers. I don't have to sign a TOS when I buy a cucumber, and I don't get my cucumber revoked if I stick it up my ass rather than eat it as was "intended". No reason to complicate commerce just

Because its better than me just sending it to the spam box. Or worse, not interacting with your service. At this point something as simple as ordering something online means I get 4-7 emails and then some growling "please rate us"

I am certainly not going to pay for Facebook. I hate everything about it and barely spend any time there. If I could pay for it to be sane, to actually show what my friends were up to in chronological order, to show what is around me of int

I had to generate bunch of these at work, because reasons, and I found out that you can use Caddy to do this by including `tls internal` in your Caddyfile. The first time you install it, it will prompt you to install the root cert.

It wasn't guys who made fifty shades of grey the only modern franchise to compete in sales numbers with Harry Potter, so I don't buy the idea that men were those who sexualized things like rape and violence.

Not OP, but why use a tool that is much slower than another tool, just because the old one is older. Old tech has its place, but I can get e.g a caddyfile that works for me quicker with ChatGPT than in any other way.

That adults grow up, realise that they now have a responsibility to each other and to their child. If that is not possible, then the solution is not to have children, which is a 100% fair choice.
