Thank you for your efforts. I have to say I'm quite confused about exactly what is in dispute.

OK, so there is enough value in the company to pay the banks and PE firms lavishly and exorbitantly, but not enough to pay all their debts. So which debts can they not pay?

"Bankrupt" by definition means unable to pay one's debts, doesn't it? Perhaps there's another definition I am unaware of, so that may have been an invalid assumption on my part. But if that wasn't gumby'

Right, but in both cases you have to pay out of retained earnings. You can't "pay out using borrowed money"! You can borrow to get more cash on hand, and then pay out, but that's not the same thing: dividends are never

Thanks, yes, that's a good summary. I think if the original claim was that the PE business model is pathological and parasitic because it is (economic) value-destroying then the claim must be false. Other financial stakeholders would

Do you mean you would need to see proof that the observation is correct before you can link evidence that it's incorrect? If so that seems somewhat difficult to achieve.

If you tell me what + should do then maybe I can help. Does it broadcast to the higher-dimensional of the two arguments?

You're completely right that it does not add up. PE detractors really need to be able to explain how this observation fits in with their analysis.

Interesting. To me there's a very strong difference between destroying and not destroying a hospital.

No one's provided evidence for the "destroyed hospital" that jcranmer claimed a "coterie of journalists" were invited to.

Al Shifa hospital has not been destroyed, nor has any hospital in Gaza, as far as I am aware.

I'm not an expert on the system architecture side of things. Maybe a Groqster who is can chime in. But the way I understand it is that you can't improve latency just by scaling, whereas you can improve throughput just by scaling,
