Can't it cut wait times by infinity? For example, if the arrivals are at 1.1 per minute, and a teller processes 1 per minute.

I agree with the recommendation to use (z)diff3. I think the article massively understates the case! Three way diff makes it possible to resolve some conflicts that are literally impossible to resolve without it. Why impossible? Because

This is just begging the question! So "restaurateur" was first, but did "restaurant" get an "n"? Why isn't it "restaurat"? The reason is that in French (ultimately from Latin) "-ateur&quo

Yeah, Hickey was just wrong about this. For me, watching his talks goes like this: Hickey: I value X, Y, Z Me: Yeah man! Hickey: We get great consequences A, B, C Me: Ah yeah, I love programming like that. That's why I love Haskell! Hi

I'm confused. I thought iCloud was end-to-end encrypted anyway, and I've never heard of ADP before. Is ADP encryption at rest , whereas normal iCloud storage is only encrypted from the device to the server?

Effect systems such as Bluefin (my own) and effectful allow you to have multiple possible exception effects in scope without having to cram them all into one type (with some sort of "variant" or "open sum" type). It'

It is the same issue. The reason that medical care is so expensive is that it's bottlenecked on a small number of people who are qualified and licensed to provide it. If it weren't bottlenecked on them then it would be a massive
