While I appreciate the kind words about my programming skill ;), I needed a pet project to test drive SproutCore 2.0, and that's the reason I picked it. I would probably not have done so otherwise given its current limited scope. But again,

A very valid question. :) First, I wanted to test drive SproutCore 2.0. It's always good for framework developers to be app developers themselves; and just from the feedback and collaboration today I've fixed several bugs in SproutCore. So,

Yep — https://github.com/tomdale/everyjs.com . Look at index.html and js/app.js. That's where most of the action is happening.

It's working okay on Opera 11 for Mac. I'll test on Opera 11 for Windows when I get a chance.

Wow, that's bad. I accidentally shipped the version of SproutCore 2.0 with property accessors turned on; however, Safari 5 has a bug where this blows up when called on an element, and we've been testing on Lion. Anyway, fixed now. Sorry for

Good catch! There was a bug in the SproutCore 2.0 developer preview where Object.create was being invoked on platforms where it isn't available. I've put up a new version of SC that fixes this. Please let me know if you're still having prob

I agree! I put this together in a few hours while spending Memorial Day weekend at my parents' house. I'm planning on adding sorting/filtering based on browser compatibility, file size, and area of expertise. I'd be interested in hearing an

It seems pretty strange for you to say that given that you must also realize that the framework you maintain, Cappuccino, is veering towards obsolescence. I think Aristo is a great theme, and better than the default SproutCore theme, but ev

If you look at most mobile-optimized web applications today, they tend to be very "web-style," which SproutCore 2.0 is great for. In the next few months, we will be working on a mobile control set that allows you to create more "native-styl

We've also created a build of SproutCore that fits into a single, <50k gzipped file. It's definitely experimental, but you can find an example application running it here (built using HTML5 Boilerplate): http://amber-todos.strobeapp.co

Leaving out screenshots or a demo of the new theme was definitely an oversight on our part. Sorry! I've put up a build of our sample controls app that demonstrates the new controls: http://samplecontrols.strobeapp.com/

I'm sorry that you were turned off by the Ruby build tools. Many people see the build tools and assume that you need to know Ruby to use SproutCore. This isn't true. SproutCore apps are written 100% in JavaScript, and Ruby just happens to b
