Very few are successful in this position. Zapier comes to mind, but it seems like a tiring business model to me.

Absolutely agree Microsoft is better there - maybe that's why Google hired someone from Microsoft for their AI stuff. A few people I think. I also agree the business models aren't known. That's part of any hype cycle. I think

I believe it. This is what typically happens. I would go to AWS re:invent and just watch people in the audience either cheer or break down as they announced new offerings wash away their business. It's very difficult to compete in a wa

I agree...I couldn't trust an article that thinks JS is "treading water' ... It's so far from the truth it's not funny. Keep in mind things like MongoDB use JavaScript with map/reduce and other commands. Then of course look no farther than

Uh, it's actively being worked on and it grows at a very rapid pace. What you read about or use with PHP is dated. Most PHP applications are 5 years behind where PHP is currently. THAT is the real problem. You obviously have not seen any mo

The only thing flawed with PHP is your outlook on it. People with money (investors, clients, etc.) don't care about ANY of the nuances mentioned here or by Jeff Atwood. At the end of the day, we use PHP and are rewarded for doing so. If you
