I am curious about the opposite. December 2017 I was staying on the New Port Beach peninsula in So Cal and the water was clearer then I think I've ever seen anywhere in the entire world. I grew up in the OC and have been to or by the b

What would you do with it if you can't add more software yourself? (which Apple expressly forbids). Try to customize your vim macros? Nope. Want to change your ~/.bash_profile? Also against the rules.

How would this be applied? I feel like nearly every grocery store chain in the USA has it's own brand competing with same 3rd party brands they carry. Whole Foods had "360", Walgreens has "Nice". It's been too

No it is not. That report is wrong. Apple added a flag. They didn't add an implementation. There is zero code in WebKit to support WebGL2. All there is is a stub that returns a WebGL1 context when WebGL2 is asked for. Feel free to dig

Is Google Music the same as Youtube Music because I signed up a 2-3 weeks ago and have found it to be horrid at finding new music. No matter what I do it keeps trying to sneak in popular tracks into recommendations. I think of the 200 to so

I'm probably just an old fart or not getting it in some other way but I was thinking about this the other day. For whatever reason the status seeking culture really really annoys me. I feel it's "wrong". I'm not rel

Apps opting in to security is an oxymoronic idea I get the restrictions are severe. I think work should be done to fix that rather than give up and just have everything be massively insecure by default.

Because you should write what you mean, not just assume the compiler will convert what you wrote into what you mean. i++ means var temp = i; i = i + 1; return temp; where as ++i means i = i + 1 r

I'm actually surprised that Mac, Windows, and Linux are not way more locked down by default by now. We see the problem on Android and iOS often have binaries doing bad things (spying if not worse). Often it's not the app developer

There is no useful subset that doesn't have the same problem (see my longer response). We did an investigation back when making O3D (before WebGL) if there was a smaller subset that was both performant and didn't have the issue. T

Blame Apple. They have the worst graphics stack when it comes to stuff like this. Most GPUs are not pre-emptable (maybe that's changing?). Because they are not pre-emptable if you give them something to do they will do it until finishe
