I've heard a lot of recent Oatley converts say the same and they insist that while the Oatley "i Kaffe" product takes some geeting used to, it does taste better with coffee that regular milk does. So maybe this company has fi

Damnit! Those are some nice projects and I like that you can plug your instruments and microphone directly into the pedal. Now my requirements list for the ultimate controller pedal has grown. ;-) Start with something like the Behringer FC

Awesome! The market is really short on good MIDI pedals. Most pedals are in the €150 - €500 range and they have no versatility. You have to buy different pedals to be able to connect it to different gear. When you compare them to MIDI contr

Hopefully we can have a public discussion about ethics and vendor responsibility once the dust settles. If the government was so negligent that we may get a new one, then perhaps the vendor should have been aware of it? Perhaps they shouldn

I'm not that familiar with TLS client certificates so I'm not qualified to say, but if you consider other developers as your users, then the UX problem remains. Web developers in general are more familiar with other forms of authe

I think this is an interesting security consideration but I would prefer implicit identity for the following reasons: If the API is meant to be consumed by machines then it's unlikely that CSRF would be a threat. CSRF controls are more

I also came back to say that I was unsure why you were being downvoted. I think you made some good points in the first half of the post. It's probably the tone of the writing. There is definitely a stigma around mental illness. In Swed

I agree that not everyone is on Java and using an ORM. But is it only useful for a single server? If you have multiple servers then you would also have a distributed second level cache which would eliminate the need for session pinning.

If you're on Java and using an ORM like Hibernate, then that user will be found in the second-level cache. This will eliminate the need for a database roundtrip for all requests after the first authentication. From that point on that p
