I love it! Top post on eggs is exactly the kind of content I was hoping for. I’m sure you plan on adding comments. I will be a regular user and I’ve already shared with a few friends and family.

I felt similarly when I’ve looked into it in the past. My suggestion is to just take a day or two and do a deep dive, use tutorials and it will all get better. Maybe not what I would have wanted to hear but after crossing the chasm to where

Those are great hacks. Thanks for sharing. I have a few hacks of my own that are more about food and health: 1. Don’t abuse caffeine. I stopped drinking coffee and soda but instead I’ll have some dark chocolate when I need a pick me up. 80%

Some people learn by preparing and some people learn by doing. It might be expensive but I bet this person will learn a ton for the next iteration. This guy is a hacker in my mind and I appreciate his approach.

Who said _you_ have to love it? Some people do love JS. Those people will appreciate using it in embedded systems.

My favorite definition of a “good” programmer is someone who ships! Done is better than perfect. Knowing what compromises to make in order to ship without creating a future nightmare.

Those are great! I find the OWASP cheat sheet[1] useful as well but I’m going to keep the pentesterlab cheetsheet bookmarked for easier to digest to similar data. Thanks for sharing! [1] https://www.owasp.org/index.php/

This seems reasonable to me. JavaScript is being used everywhere and most people are okay with it. As a business decision I don’t see why Google would support such a small edge case. That being said, if they feel like explaing why they shou

I’m surprised to hear that pilots are in short supply. I started learning to fly as a hobby and I saw many videos about how hard it is to get a job at a commercial airline. I got the impression that there is more supply than there is demand

The founder of a startup I was doing work for introduced me to Paul’s essays. From there I found out about ycombinator. I was reading every word on every page. Somewhere that lead me to hacker news. I remember seeing a link shared on how to

I used voicebunny and that went really well! I’m kind of amazed how cheap it is to get great voice talent on there.

Forgot to mention, I used it to get an illustration made that I wanted to put on my surfboard just for fun. They didn’t make what I asked for, not even close and never replied when I tried to get a revision.

I used fiverr and it didn’t work out. Can’t really complain because it was so cheap but I’m reminded of you get what you pay for.

The fact that it is easy to set up a VPN does make this more competitive but that doesn’t mean you can’t build a business. Think about who your customers will be. Is there an underserved niche that you can reach? It might take a HN reader 1

What do you mean to sound like? A cool guy who just drops truth bombs? The guy did what he wanted to and he is happy he did it. Sounds like he won to me. Love what you do and you never work a day in your life right?
