A good essay and worth the read.

"empty field with fewer variables and greater proximity to demand" I do not disagree with what you wrote but would like to suggest that empty fields are not necessarily the best place. I think rooftops and parking lots are better

Would I get to keep it if it lands in my yard?

I hope they pair this with solar panel awnings in the parking lots. 30 acre parking lots in Central Texas (and I am sure elsewhere) are a killer. I am not sure why more big box stores (HEB, Home Depot, etc.) have not been a little more acti

It looks nice. If I were in the market for a new truck/car it would be at the top of the list to look at. I wounder, as a Bezos backed endeavor, how connected is it going to be? That is something I do not really like about the newer c

What was the original title? I completely missed it and am a little curious.

The title does not (to me) seem to be advertising something to go out and buy. I do not imagine that the video will reveal something shocking. it does not look especially clickbaity. It looks sort of nerdy. So, I am not to worried about mar

I do not want to be a dissident. I just do not want to have to pay through the nose and work like a dog to jump through someone else's hoops.

It makes me a little sorry we (as a species) did not settle on origami as a computing platform. It would be great to see computers folding and unfolding themselves. It would likely be a little slower I suppose.

Are there any well documented cases of the bags selling for these prices?

As a Christian leaning person (agnostic, not the most popular position but it is mine for better or worse) This sort of worries me. I wish every one the best but it sounds like a way to gain worshipful followers. Matthew 19:24 "Again

This reminds me of some of the work on human consciousness and how it seems that humans (sometimes at least) make unconscious choices before their (our) conscious mind catches up. I asked chatGPT about this and it gave me a list of reading

I was looking at wearable computer stuff years ago but gave up. The display was always the limiting factor. It would sometimes be nice to to walk around taking notes without holding a phone.

Can AR glasses be used as just a monitor? I am under the impression that they are sort of smart devices. How do they get a video signal from the computer?

It’s like comparing a Ferrari to a Model T Ford . It is a tangent (in litght of the article topic) but for most applications that I can imagine I would rather have the Model T. When I went into my flight training (just recreational) I imag

So is the party over, or is the band just going to take a break? I managed to liquidate much of my (very modest) investments exposed to this sort of thing, couple months ago, and I am wondering what to do with the money in the account.
