Yes, coming from the UK, where my hours in academia were 37.5/week, I was surprised to learn (from my incorrect interpretation of the title) that those 2.5 hours/week I work here in the US were pointless.

Just chiming in here: in The Pragmatic Programmer it's called a "tracer bullet", not a "tracer". You'll do a lot better searching for discussions by using "tracer bullet".

My understanding is that the field, when working with a PostgreSQL database, is stored as a JSON field in PostgreSQL, rather than just a text field. I don't think django-jsonfield can do that.
