Xcode does work, mostly, as you'd expect, since it's backed by lldb. And it's certainly more like VS than command line lldb is! But still, the UX isn't quite there. I found it rather limiting and fiddly to use - you don&

The words are definitely not interchangeable, but you can probably say "parameter" most of the time, and people will figure out from context whether you mean a parameter or an argument. I'm a lot less certain this applies to

I bet nobody gets keys and values mixed up, even though it's basically exactly that distinction. Far from pedantic, in my view! If you don't know the difference I do think you'll have difficulty using the features effectively

Yes. This doesn't strike me as an especially productive line of attack, but maybe I'm missing something (hopefully not obvious), maybe I'm just not imaginative enough, and/or maybe I'm underestimating how much effor

If Lua did the decent thing and insisted that you declare every variable first, it wouldn't have this stupid problem. Squirrel should probably do it, too. Python certainly should! (Even Javascript , misguided as it is in so many respe

But part of the bizarre genius of the 6502 is that you can't do the same thing. OK, sure, so you could do this, and it does indeed EOR the accumulator with itself. STA $70 ; 2 3 EOR $70 ; 4 6 But that's stupid, beca

It's an excellent piece of work, and you could probably use similar techniques to create addons for other 8-bit systems, but overall it's probably not super-interesting for non-BBC Micro fans ;) BBC games tend not to work with a c

271 is the longest length possible (the code is writing out some kind of literal data). The count, -16, follows each 0xE0 byte (see emit_literal - recall Apple only use little-endian CPUs). 255+16=271. When the byte is 0xE1...0xEF (inclusiv

OK - but if you've just changed job, the overhead of this will get lost in the noise. And this even assumes that these decisions are rightly to be left up to the employee, and not decided by the company. (E.g., HTML email display and&#

Right - but why would you care? You get a PC, and it has Outlook, and it's set up to work with their system. Then you leave/they sack you. You get a new job. They give you a different PC. It has Outlook... and it's set up to

Assuming you're an employee, this is a feature. Your old employer probably doesn't want you taking your email with you, and rightly so - and your new employer very likely doesn't want you bringing your old email with you, for

I submit that a work of art with "a legacy that has lasted centuries" should be more than ~1.6 of them old - no matter how little I can deny that 1.6 or so is indeed enough to qualify for the plural.
