I’m surprised to hear there aren’t many good books on the war given how significant it was in shaping Europe. That was impressed upon me in high school European history.

To me, the two have served a similar but non-overlapping function. There’s stuff I’ve find a lot easier to bring up in therapy, or bring up in therapy and then talk to friends about when I feel more comfortable.

Film is a very fun hobby that I recently began enjoying. I’ve never been into digital photography — the instant feedback kind of removed the magic for me. Film forces you to finish the roll (or you’re throwing money away) and that helps kee

I wonder if it has to do with the size of your hands? I have big hands and always preferred the Xbox controllers to DuelShocks because they felt better suited to my hand size.

Also mistakes driving a car are more costly. If you miss a turn on a bike, you can stop, walk your bike back, and take it. In a car, if the street is busy, you can’t do that, and who knows where you end up if you take the next exit etc.

It’s not physically realizable but the spring-loaded inverted pendulum is arguably the “simplest” walking model. It’s just a mass on a spring.

You’re right but also very few theses are actually read. I know people who have delisted theirs from Google scholar because they had better presentations of the same results published in journals after they defended.

In addition to what others have said, it fixes a “bug” in Shannon’s continuous version of the entropy. Shannon assumed you could just replace the sum with an integral and call it a day. However, two bad things happen: 1. This definition of
