Seems like there's a need for a cloud infrastructure/language independent packaging format, to build a "github of installable applications" Maybe container images that can also be used as bootable images?

What's the point of a car that drives itself if there is nothing to read while you're driving? I was seriously looking forward to that - or even a text to speech app that reads Reader feeds.

Any idea what is going on with the progressive Git protocol, I know there was some discussion on the git devel lists but I'm having trouble finding it. (Essentially it's a protocol based on fast-import to allow access a remote repository wi

I think the real reason user numbers haven't grown as rapidly as expected could be the difficulty introducing it to a new user. I've tried to explain how powerful it is, how it centrally gathers so many diverse publications, how it gives a

I would imagine it could start by eliminating bionic, which seeems designed primarily to keep hardware OEMs happy that everything is under a weak (BSD style) license. ChromiumOS uses a standard Linux libc (probably glibc) and is more compat

Can you be more specific? There is no reason for Chrome to use the platform WebView on any Android version supporting loading native libraries. Are there OpenGL limitations or something else blocking Chrome from running on 2.3?

The really interesting product/service would be a datastore and RSS consumer like GR API is. I think a lot of competitors spend time working on the UI and miss the power that is behind it. (I would include Google in this list, even if they

Well for the last week I've been doing development using a Google ARM Chromebook (249 USD). I'm using a dedicated server (about 60USD from Ubiquity Servers), but I also have a couple of VPSs, including a 5 USD one from 2host. I'm using tmux

Adding to the disappointment, but I was hoping to see a really good example of using D3 for tabular data, updated in real time from JS (such as from Ember) without re-rendering the entire DIV.

While there is quite a deal of information on integrating ember-data with rails, there is much less on integrating it with other server-side MVC/REST frameworks. This means that using it with another framework often means modifying that int
