I believe Barbing is saying to start braking and if you haven't stopped when you reach the obstacle, to keep the brake pressed hard while steering around it. That said, it's also important to manage wheel and/or brake lock-up

I used Vim for about 5 years until the fact I had to smash the living daylights out of every key started to really take its toll on my hands. I then tried Atom for a bit (requiescat in pace) before landing on Emacs. Which is funny: switchin

I expect the vast majority of Emacs users to use the GUI rather than the TUI. In fact, the way I learned Emacs was by clicking on 'Help' in the menu bar and then on 'Emacs Tutorial'.

Reminds me of when I brainstormed an S-expression-based alternative syntax for Rust in the comments on an article about Rust's syntax: < https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41399712 >.

Yeah, if SC Controller adds support for the Steam Controller 2, I'll be more inclined to get it. EDIT: Though I read that the SC2 works like a regular controller if you just plug it in without Steam, so at least that's positive.

I'm having a hard time understanding where the miscommunication is. What I'm saying is: not allowing a user to access their pictures without accepting a change in the terms of service is bad. A renegotiation of terms of a contract

Indeed, that's why it's important to vote with your wallet. Buy a phone from a manufacturer/program like Sony's Open Devices (< https://opendevices.sony.net/ >) rather than, say, Apple.

That's why I switched to Common Lisp, its type system isn't perfect but it works well enough for my needs (especially with the occasional (describe 'sycamore:tree-insert) in the REPL).

Seems a bit similar to 'Why I prefer Scheme to Haskell' (< https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3816385 >, 2012). Seems a bit plagiarized, but that may just be a coincidence.
