I assume this is fresh water pumped into Gaza. What of the desalination plants? Cutting off all fuel surely ensures that that water source is also cut off. I would not be surprised to learn that this infrastructure has been targeted for des

I think the comment you replied to was pointing out that Iran had a democratically elected government until the 1953 coup instigated by the U.S. and Britain. Their paranoia is not without reason.

They can win just as so many others have in the past - outlasting the resolve of the U.S. I think that the best that can be hoped for here (from the U.S. perspective) is to diminish the Houthi's capacity to launch missiles and drones u

That won't stop the hostilities. Israel has two stated objectives: free the hostages and eliminate Hamas. The Israeli government is very unlikely to agree to a ceasefire in return for the hostages.

I may have missed it, but the failure of any western leaders to publicly acknowledge the Houthi's stated reasons for their actions (and by extension their demands) is conspicuous.

Sailed from Africa? I always thought they crossed the Torres Strait. On a related note, something that has always intrigued me is why there is no historical record of Polynesian arrival on the east coast of Australia.

A thoroughly interesting (and at times very funny) presentation about modern urban design in North America. Does a good job of highlighting how regulations essentially ensure poor design choices. This was recorded over 30 years ago.

I don't think this is really relevant when we are talking about over 20,000 bombs. Not to be facetious, but if I were to drop 1,000 bombs on a village of 100 people, killing them all, it hardly matters that I can claim my 'kill ra
