You might disagree, but this a widely held narrative. If you aren’t familiar with it you’re not getting news from diverse sources

I use brave on desktop and mobile and don’t get ads on youtube. Brave is actually solely used for youtube on my phone. Maybe that will get hit soon.

Is it morally wrong to eat a cupcake? I’m not a smoker nor would I want anyone I care about to smoke, but have you thought through the extrapolation of your assertion? Similarly, old people are a drag on society. It’s not at all clear that

This is already the case for the majority of asset (stock or bond) wealth. The threshold to pull this off is way higher than simply getting a private key or hardware key device off someone. In the first case there are many controls to halt

It’s my naive understanding that HFT makes money at the direct expense of other market participants. Is this not a downside? I’m genuinely curious to the arguments against this.

When you sell to open, there is a buyer for the order to get filled. At this point, you become the buyer to close the option if you thus desire. If you're selling puts, yes ensure they're cash secured. This avoids anything like th

Valuation fundamentals don't justify current prices. That said it could easily go higher (much higher). Passive investing has created a constant bid that has significantly distorted price discovery compared to pre passive era.

Are costs and mismanagement directly related to regulations? Genuine question. This is impression I get from nuclear advocates like Mark Nelson and doomberg.

What specifically makes this study anti-vaxx? Science is an ongoing process and it’s unambiguously unscientific to be closed off to new information. I understand the conspiratorial narratives on Covid are tiring, but this does not seem to b

It was the old definition. It made more sense when the money supply was defined as a the pool of circulating money. Now that the supply is debt based and abstract, it became non pragmatic to keep referencing it.

So I generally held the same questions as you. I think part of the answer is in our modern debt based monetary system, there isn’t one clear notion of money supply (M1, m2, m3,..). Also, these supplies of money can be only esoterically link

I'm not sure which of you or the comment you replied to is using 'debt holder' correctly. But they meant inflation benefits the person who has to pay the debt back over time, not the person who issued the debt.

Do you think 'normie' has some negative connotation? It's just internet slang for a normal person.

No I'm pretty normie. My point is the significant players don't share this low opinion of Elon. Only normies, but not all normies. A lot of normies worship him too obviously.

I'm no Elon fanboy, but it's hilarious how much normies cope that Elon is just relatively average intelligence. Find one video of someone intelligent and credible who's actually interacted with him who shares that take.

This is true. The problem is inflation is desired/needed to enable/sustain the debt based leverage that allows our modern world to tick. So the game becomes create at least a little bit of inflation and try to not let it boil out
