Sure, I'd assume that social engineering will always work as long as a person has no way to validate who's on the other end.

How is that different, since social engineering works there too?

In Sweden we have BankID - a two-factor, two-way authentication using public/private encrypted keys that's bound to a smartphone as a signature. The process is user-friendly while keeping security high: - The place where you want

Not sure why you're downvoted, back-end JS written from the ground up and hardened by usage really do not require maintenance. Especially with solid API's like with Cloudflare Workers V8 variant.

Do I understand this correctly? - I'm allowed to setup an instance and charge clients to use it. - I'm NOT allowed to host the instance for clients and charge for that hosting.

I'd suggest using an encrypted volume file, that's what I currently do and am using MacOS Catalina. So far, no problems. The added advantage is that you can easily do backups of it.

Been using both designer and photo for about 2 years, to replace Photoshop mainly. While mostly great, some features are missing for vectors which makes layers broken down into tiny bits instead of groups. The only way to solve it is to ope

I also appreciate the UI more with Bitwarden, it goes straight to the point and is quicker to navigate (less drop-down menus).

I used LastPass for many years until I got tired of the slowness/high CPU, then I saw that Bitwarden had done a lot of work on performance and switched to it. Never had any issues and I have at least a thousand entries. And quickly sea

I use linters and having an ML one that can find even more difficult ones are more than welcome. As long as they are done locally and not sending source code to Google.

We're getting closer to "How Google got me fired for the 532 bugs it found in my code..." EDIT: It was meant as a joke as to how media manages to make something that's good into a problem.

This is really useful, especially with the preconfigured S3 keystone. Could be used even for small docker nodes given enough RAM (elastic is hungry)

It leaks IP and DNS resolvers. It's not designed to be anonymous, but it does fully encrypt all traffic coming from your device to the internet, meaning, it's great when you don't want to trust the ISP, public Wifi or even th

Aren't there a lot of them? The bigger VPN providers also offer Wireguard and a simple UI (Basically click the map and you're connected).

Can't the same be said about any of the huge hosting companies such as OVH, Hetzner, 1&1, AWS, etc. And any VPN provider that hosts their servers and routes their traffic through unknown datacenters? I'd rather trust Cloudflar

I've run a business longer than a decade so I know how hard it is and I've burned out several times over. But I just don't give up and a no has certainly become a NO.

That's just it, a project can be dual licensed, which is not so uncommon. A business license + open source license, often called cripple-ware, they make the system quite useless without a GUI or management tool for example.

I don't see a problem with the current model.. If open source projects change their licensing to force paying for business use and the cloud giants doesn't want to pay, the cloud giant could afford forking the project and make the

As a heavy user of this tool, are there any "free" alternatives that are as good/versatile? I already use lingohub.com and like it as an alternative, but it is costly since Machine translation is 129$/mo.

I'm using plain symbols and pen drawing when testing and CPU shoots up to 70% instantly, moving objects are sluggish and every move makes the CPU spike again. The more curves I have, the more sluggish it becomes.

I'm used to Affinity Designer, unfortunately Inkscape is very slow for even just ~10 layers of medium complexity shapes on MacOS :-/ While on Affinity, I can have hundred layers without noticeable performance issues.
