I like that it we are forced to deal with the error. It seems to make the code more predictable in some sense. But I do loath the littered if err != nil { return err } maybe a better autocomplete in the IDE/editor is a good c

This is exactly the thought I had. The challenge is starting with messy undocumented code that sprawls out all over the place. How to you go from spaghetti code to nice neat modular code using AI?

I got mixed results. A good portion of the code was written by former employees. There is little documentation.

Procreate is an amazing app. I actually like it a bit more than Photoshop because of how well it works with the Apply pencil. I wonder if any of the developers there are using AI to code?

I started with ChatGPT. I had tried Grok early on and it was very good. I might drop it if 3.5 does not impress and replace it with Gemini. I do really like the Deep Search on Grok for doing web search and analysis. It is saving me a ton

I use to just lose my notes. But I have been using tech to transcribe them and put the text into my Obsidian vault. I am thinking about trying to do something with this like scanning for connections between notes or adding some tags to mak

I have not seen much discussion on how to properly work with legacy code using LLMs. Michael Feathers book comes to mind when thinking about the topic. One gets the idea that you have to write a lot of tests. But what happens when there ar

One could put a lot of time into open source or run your own side hustle to build up experience to a senior engineer level. I don't see the corporate path being the best way given the circumstances.

If you have ever tried to use VEO in Google's AI studio, it lets you upload a starting frame image and ending frame image which is cool. But they do not allow any people in the image even cartoon depictions of humans. This knee caps a

I pay for both ChatGPT and Grok at the moment. I often find myself not using them as much as I had hoped for the $50 a month it is costing me. I think if I were to shell out $250 I best be using it for a side project that is bringing in c

My neighbor, a chemist, told me this years back. He had sampled US grown rice. He said arsenic was used to color chicken meat and there is runoff that gets into where rice is grown.

I am waiting for a new type of LLM that can understand primitives in either 2D or 3D and can construct vector art or 3D models. I have seen some demos of Claude being connected to Blender etc. But when I dug into the code, it was using ano
