I'm rooting for them but $35/MCF is more like 10x current market price. "Henry Hub Natural Gas Spot Price is at a current level of 3.21, down from 3.22 the previous market day and up from 2.17 one year ago." That's

The article has data points for n=10,100,1000,10000. Taking (n=10,000 - n=10)/(n=1,000 - n=10) would eliminate the constant factor and we'd expect about 10.09x higher times for a linear algorithm. But for lsr, it's 9.34. The

The times seem sublinear, 10k files is less than 10x 1k files. I remember getting in to a situation during the ext2 and spinning rust days where production directories had 500k files. ls processes were slow enough to overload everything. ls

I think its good tbh. Chrome as a brand has a lot of goodwill / brand equity. Your association is negative but I think views will vary but be more positive than not. If I remember the stats right, the majority of users install chrome b

The search was "ai tokens per tonne co2" and the "1000 tokens emits 8.3g CO2" bit was my paraphrasing from the AI overview. This article [0] mentions "8.3g CO2" but it's linked source [1] uses a different

I just hit my usage limit this morning, and the article shows how to get these numbers so I can answer this myself -- I'd be curious to see what other people are doing token wise day-to-day ccusage says I had 1k input tokens, 12k outpu

Or just straight to CO2. Google said 1000 tokens emits 8.3g CO2. How many tokens used in a heavy vibe coding day? Average US daily per capita is like 40kg CO2

With the original title, it's perfect, but after the edits its coherence is a little fractured... Honestly I don't love HN's title edits. Why can't we have nice blog titles that start with why?

The article asks about includes but also about imports ("HTML cannot import HTML ") which this is very directly. This feature was billed as #includes for the web [1]. No, it acts nothing like an #include. TBH I don't see why

You'd need more than just letter widths because of kerning and ligatures, for 100% accuracy. Anyway, fontkit can work on the server and can get individual glyph metrics as well as metrics for a run of glyphs. https://github.
