I've won hackathons building real time multiplayer games. In those cases it was the backend that set it apart from the competition.

Radar Chat is an app that I've been working on for a few years now, but only during the past several months has it been my main focus. Radar Chat allows you to leave messages attached to real world (lat/lon) locations. When leavin

Firefox for Android is my daily driver. I really dig it; once you get used to the address bar being near your thumb there's no going back.

Literally the only reason I stopped using my last two phones was that the security updates stopped streaming in. Even now they sit in a drawer, perfectly functional, abandoned by Google.

A previous PC I built had faulty grounding with the headphone jack and would constantly play static mixed in with whatever intentional analog signal was being played. When I played single player games certain patterns signaled a big boss fi

Happy to see phones with headphone jacks are still being produced. I bought the Pixel 4a 5G for the jack back in January thinking it might be my last. Note: You'll need to watch more than 10 seconds of the video to understand the joke.

This is a very good idea. The UI for end customers to customize the payload is innovative. Things like rate limiting, error handling, exponential backoff, short circuiting, batching, and replaying requests are all harder than one would thin

Differentiation might include some sort of game+device compatability badge or certification, built in steam controller and all that customization, and game discounts/rental program when played on the device.

As a fan of Acid music this is actually pretty good. It even has "drop" measures where the drums disappear and the lead goes through a dynamic cutoff filter. Every now and then a bad lead/bass combination does pop up.

I was concerned about the missing KEYS entry, too. I believe the script would fail if the two keys were on different machines, assuming both key names were provided as KEYS, though the {} syntax should have avoided that. By generating the k

I love non-4k displays, but 1080p on a 15" is too harsh. 1440p would probably be the cutoff for that size. It seems that most developers (their target audience?) love hidpi which may be one of the biggest adoption issues for System 76.

I distinctly remember having a homework problem in middle school to design a 51 star flag. My answer was a copy of the 50 star flag but with a bigger one in the background. Definitely got that one wrong.
