Speaking of both wooden siding and hariplank, construction is a big factor in the survivability of a home in the case of a wildfire. Cedar shake looks very nice, but perhaps it is a bad idea when there is a non-zero chance of a neighbourhoo

Even as Debian boxes, they're limited because Debian isn't supporting the platform any more either. That means you can't just point it to a new repo, and do all the usual apt goodness to get an up to date system. I'm lea

I have one, and looked into what I might put on it instead of the unsupported software some years ago. I had noticed shortly after purchase that it was basically a Debian install, on MIPS if I recall correctly. While WD had essentially wash

I think the answer is likely, "it depends." I too have a P50, and mostly leave it with the integrated Intel graphics. The Nvidia is needed for HDMI output though. In any case, I do fire that up when needed, with its own X session.

Wow, is that incredibly broken. I'm in security, doing testing for internal project teams. Another consultant is typically advising them on general controls, policy and such, and telling them to come to my group to get testing done. I

I haven't tried it in Zap, but there is definitely a Burp add-on that takes care of this for you. Probably several. Zap is pretty scriptable as well, so there are likely solutions for it also. What have you tried?

Thanks for your extensive write-up. PHP's definitely not my thing, but I appreciate your view of the process to iteratively dig (and dig, and dig...) into the details. By the way, if you're looking for instant introspection, chang

Heh. In my relative youth, I was pranking a fellow co-op student on our work term fairly regularly. One of my faves was that he was on an HP Unix workstation in the shared computer room, and the X display defaulted to allowing all connectio

Ah, yes. I recall the luxury of a Commodore of my very own (a C128), after using PETs in school. We had a whole three of them at the time, with a shared, dual-floppy drive for the set. Naturally, our teacher wisely pushed hard on figuring w

I went the software developer -> security route, so maybe I can weigh in a little. Security takes a different mind-set in some ways; not incompatible, but not necessarily there to start with. I've always been interested in how thing

What you're looking at though in lisp is an unambiguous syntax tree. It's what helps you find your way around in the forest, especially with editor support that can automagically apply operations to discrete chunks of your code. T
