I think having a single syntax is the best way. I don't want to have to look at python and have to parse spaces, curly braces, square braces, etc. It all being standard is really helpful. A standard Autoformatter like black or gofmt ev

Sublime Merge is fantastic. I've moved on from sublime text, but sublime Merge is a tool I use everday. Invaluable.

Linux all the way. Mac doesn't support Nvidia cards. Windows just feels sluggish compared to Linux.

While in general there can be many smaller workloads running in parallel. However, periodically the whole supercomputer can be reserved for a "hero" run.

Got works great. The main pain point for me is largr binary files. There is git LFS, but it isn't default and takes some configuration.

You can, but then you have to setup and build the libraries in debug mode. You can then debug with gdb or visual studio. It is just a lot more work than debugging pure python.

I don't understand why they don't buy RHEL. Rocky is essentially RHEL. If RHEL isn't supported there is no Rocky.
