Ouch. No need to be condescending, Jon. When I write Python, I use classes and magic methods and all that jazz. Programming in a functional style in Python is often verbose and brittle due to the duck-typing. I was under the impression we w

Not really redundant when you can curry the function when needed. This is how libraries in functional languages are written. Classes make code harder to reason about given that you have hidden state everywhere.

Cancellations through the service went down, but did actual cancellations (as in, the person just doesn't show) go down? If you make it harder to cancel you're relying even more heavily on the integrity or conscience of the cancelling party

It is incorrect to classify the attack as an attack on civilians when in fact it was an attack on the headquarters of the British military. Do not put words in my mouth.

Yes the part of the hotel that was bombed was the part of the hotel that was used by the British military thereby invalidating your value judgement that the attack was meant to kill civilians.

You should look up the Balfour Declaration and the Treaty of Sevres. The answer to your question, disregarding your hyperbole and nonsense (what is this pre-existing country you speak of), is yes.

This is a property of how javascript and python do closures. In the above code i refers to the same piece of memory in every case. So f and g are closed over i. The reference is preserved but the value is not. This behavior is the motivatio
