Last time there was a major protest the republican guard suppressed it with rape and sniper fire. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009%E2%80%932010_Iranian_elect...

IMO there is no reason to get an Android phone not officially distributed by Google (e.g. the Nexus 7). I bought an HTC Droid Eris: EOL'd a year. Never saw a version update. Then I bought a Samsung Droid Charge: EOL'd in a year. Will never

Personally I love jellybeans.vim It works great in a 256 color console and in a GUI. https://github.com/nanotech/jellybeans.vim

Good writeup. Haskell actually does have an Error type class and ErrorT monad transformer for more fine-grained error handling. Maybe gives you binary error handling, it either fails (Nothing) or succeeds (Just). Either gives you "stringly-

I had the same reaction until I considered that the HUD is probably just a visual representation for the viewer's sake of all the decisions and data the drone is processing. A drone wouldn't need a HUD at all.

I think it's uninteresting because it's easily dismissed and it cheapens the discussion about the problems in public education.

This would be more interesting if it were not made about race.

That's a nice thought but the only people who would download this app are the ones that already feel strongly about the drone program.

With all due respect to Hillel, not everyone is bothered or hindered by the same things. Some people can focus with loud ambient noises (von Neumann) and some people can't (me).

Now contrast that with Virginia Tech's honor code policy in use in all CS courses where absolutely no collaboration of any kind is permitted. The only thing you can discuss with classmates is the meaning of a particular requirement. Sigh. O

I also found it genuinely disturbing for the same reason. The 'you decide' aspect of the site seems very sick to me. I think the moral dilemma could be solved easily by just having a single fund that you pay into. The money is then distribu
