In my case they had 100ETH, so quite a lot.

Especially the automated scam on ETH is really interesting, I also fell for one the other day. Somebody creates a new smart contract (token) with a funny brand or meme name, puts liquidity into a DEX like Uniswap and sends the token around

In case it doesn't, I can really recommend AAWireless [1]. I have it in my 2021 Zoe because the cable was quite awkward with my phone and it's super annoying to always plug it in. [1] https://www.indiegogo.com/proj

if you're using a queue like SQS and expect it to be ordered and exactly-once, you're in for a lot of surprise. If you need ordering, use a stream/log like Kinesis or Kafka.

MQTT at home is a real boon. I have mine chugging away in a raspi in a docker container and that drives everything like the plant watering. I also use it to collect metrics and do alerting with influx+grafana.

it's absolutely insane, they claim several thousands (!) of VMs and each autoscaling group having their own load balancer. Just the cost worth saving when they have only 10-20% wasted resource and an ingress controller instead of multi

I vividly remember Legoland[1] the video game, where you can manage a park and build it from the ground up. It's very similar to the rollercoaster tycoon games from back then. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego

it actually reminds me of the Logitech G15 that I had over a decade ago (or G19 as the later model). The screen can be used to show some stats like CPU and RAM usage, or for games some kind of extra information like your health, your ammo c

What I find even worse is when you play FIFA and some random non-related british commentary triggers the "xbox" speech command. Infuriating, especially since you can't turn it off.

Then you would just stare at an almost empty list of reviews. I don't think you'll get around storing actual negative reviews on top of that.

I think this is highly misleading. They state that they achieved high speed-ups from not doing any coordination because they encode each state as a "private field" in an actor. Actors then communicate via queues (assume ZeroMQ fro

It's even worse when the ad server is down: it will completely lock-up your TV and you can't even watch it anymore. In the best case it makes it excruciatingly slow. That's why I turned off networking on my SmartTV already a

Flying over the Redmond campus over the weekend, I found it quite sad that they didn't really put some effort into it. It looks quite flat and unpolished.

Same feeling here, but I can definitely attribute this to an allergy. Go and see a doctor and get an allergy test done, I had similar breathing and lethargy issues in last year November already. Then nothing until end of February and since

I had the same impression from reading the table. Looking at the map and trajectories though, how could the human not see the car coming? Or was she thinking that the car would stop/slow down? Same question holds for the vehicle opera

Exactly! Keeping all of those stateful connections open is a much bigger issue than loadbalancing simple HTTP polls (that you could cache super aggressively). I think this is what this blog post really misses and shows that they have not mu

Do you guys rely on a central authority approach like Prosemirror does? I'm desperately looking for something that's somewhat stateless or at least replicable (even better if shardable) on a document basis.
