I disagree. Regardless, recording it for social media is beyond spineless- it’s downright dystopian. I think you know this though ;)

I’d probably have just kept on walking and not contributed shittiness to the situation. I don’t like junkies and tweakers but I’m not gonna use them or punch down on them. You do you though, I could care less.

You’d have to be a real piece of shit to pull out your iPhone pro max 13 to film a hobo brawl to further your agenda on twidder.

I was between 15 and 25 between the last 20 years? Of course I was. What an oddly vague thing to try to flex on. Perhaps you could also infer that I used linked in during that time, or maybe even instagram! Google! Software engineer! Just f

The years just prior to the explosion of these content algorithms were really magical. Some time between P2P networks and piracy sites being shut down there was this amazing period of discovery. It seemed like it was mostly blogspot curated

The inaccuracy or weirdness of the resulting images has no bearing on how good or bad it is as art. Art has nothing to do with that. I would argue this is a shitty tech demo more than anything else. I do not mean to discount the creator as

It is still one of the most expensive and sought after places to live in the country, and maybe even the world. You can’t just remove all context from reality to try to make your points. You know this. Be a big boy.

Bellevue is 5 miles away from Seattle. It is the same thing as Seattle.

You can argue it all you want but the numbers don’t support it. If the demand is going down then why is it becoming more expensive? Also, white flight in the 60s was a move to the suburbs- many would consider that given the density of 2020,

Exactly this; I would be knocking on all kinds of wood if you’ve had nothing but success with anything Consul/Vault/raft backed. Either that or beefing up your consul server ec2 instance types as soon as possible.

Kubernetes absolutely eats the HashiStack lunch. I think they’re aware of this. That’s why I think HashiCorp invested so much VC funding into their SaaS offerings: they know consul, vault, and nomad are a huge pain in the ass to configure

If I do a wrong and another person does the same wrong, it’s still two wrongs. We shouldn’t be defending TikTok because some other company did the same thing. This should be obvious to anyone.

Totally unrelated but I’m the GP. I currently own a Prius V and it is my favorite car ever. Bummer that it was discontinued.

Yeah I can’t really speak outside of the north end in the past couple years or so, but proctor, stadium, old town, Ruston and even around 6th all have a nice mix of local and chain stuff now.

We moved to a smaller city(Tacoma) inside of a big city metro(Seattle) for about half of the cost of a SFH in Seattle proper and it’s great. Can walk and bike to multiple grocery stores, beach, parks, etc. If I get the big city itch it’s ea

I don’t understand… you can still get either of those cars on the used market so this wouldn’t affect you, would it? I’m also pretty positive if you wanted to buy a brand new Porsche or BMW you could pay for a manual version.

Even more perplexing given the irony that pretty much everyone here is automating some part of everyday life.

Manual transmission fetishism is perplexing to me. I’ve owned two manual transmission cars… an old Hyundai Elantra and an even older Toyota pickup. I can’t think of a single reason I would not rather have the automatic version of either. I

No; it was perfectly clear. Who can you even point to in our society comes even remotely close to aligning with Soviet ideals? Like who are you even talking about? Nobody with leftist ideals thinks that the Soviet regime did things right.

Do you really think that the soviets who were whaling weren’t concerned with profits? Do you seriously think that the Soviet system was some sort of perfect expression of a political ideal? Come on.

As far as I know you can still buy an old car without any of these features, either pass or be exempt from any of emissions standards, and more or less drive that car wherever the heck you want it. So, I’m not sure how any of the regulation

TikTok is filled popularity enthusiasts. That is their only concern: winning the algorithm lottery. It is a completely different environment than the web prior to 2.0. I... would hope you would know this?

They didn't, but I think most people would guess that is accurate. I know I do. I supported one of their open source infrastructure solutions(that they weren't paying for mind you) when SHTF.
