I don't like the idea of your gg function, but I add files to the index using git add -p exclusively since it gives me a chance to review my changes as I'm adding them, as well as let's me ensure I split up different logical

Plus if you have your kernel stacks allocated in the same virtual address space, you might not be able to just "grow the stack" since that memory may be in use. But yes recursion in a kernel is a "bad thing" unless you k

The controller is much better than the older PS controllers. Unfortunately the only game I have is Battlefield 4 which likes to crash every 15 minutes and delete my save files (not a PS4-specific issue).

Githubs response: Good news from GitHub: they have extracted the full list of SHA-1 before the forced push ! Many thanks to Nathan Witmer :-) See below the full CSV with the SHA-1. He created as well a branch named 'recovery' tha

I'm the same way. People look at me like I'm a pedant because I tell them to do another revision of their patch to fix whitespace errors or typos in their commit messages. It also annoys me when people create a new commit to fix C

The biggest one for me is SSH access. You can keep your workspace in a tmux session that you can always get to remotely via ssh.

Title is misleading. I interpret this as they broadcast a separate wifi signal that connects to a different LAN. I don't see anything terribly wrong with this.

This is something Canonical should have considered before developing they're own display server. The community attitude from the start seems to generally be "we won't carry support upstream", so this doesn't seem un

This is how AutoRip works for mp3s. One album I purchased was actually _cheaper_ to get the CD + mp3 album vs just the mp3 album.

Luckily I was on an IT maintained machine that takes nightly snapshots of home partitions so I was safe in the worst case. Had I done that on one of my personal machines I wouldn't have been so lucky.

What is the value add of using 1 device everywhere vs multiple devices with all my data synchronized? Aside from needing a cloud solution to sync the data I don't see the upside to putting everything into a single device.
