It’s not very useful to implement a filter on the client, you have to filter somewhere where you have control, i.e. on the server.

The database server is optional, you can also use local csv files. A terrible format but it is just text.

As far as I remember manufacturers stopped using the word laptop when some people burned their legs or privates as they were using their laptops on their laps. So they started calling them notebooks and put in the small print you can’t use

All you need to do is follow the money. Someone is paying for that call, cheap as it may be. And there is no way the telcos would allow anyone to spoof that.

Looks like a mess with code cutting and pasting HTML together, escaping things without a clear plan. That’s a sign of a million security problems waiting to happen.

Nobody ever notifies the target if they block them. Do you think Google sends you an email if they put your server on their gmail blacklist? It’s just that, a block. The trend where some government action causes third parties to voluntarily

In the market of mobile phones for consumers who actually buy apps. That’s why everyone wants Apple to lose that monopoly. The problem of course is that exactly that monopoly is a large part of the reason why it’s the market for consumers w

You’re attempting to overdramatize by appropriating the term ‘shadowban’. It does not mean what you pretend it to mean and it doesn’t help you make your case, it just makes you look like you’re overselling.

Considering 99% of traffic is Netflix and YouTube, what’s the point? I’m pretty sure these companies will gladly put a cache box in your data center so your traffic is drastically lowered, without tricks that cause support calls.

It would surprise me if this wasn’t written in such a way it was 100% certain never to pass. There isn’t a lot of politicians that don’t fall for the ‘but what about the turrrists! Think about the children! But drugs!’ arguments made by law
