I created `prs` which solves a lot of painpoints I had with pass and other clients. It is compatible with pass and uses the very same store. https://github.com/timvisee/prs

Awesome work! At Qdrant we do this at scale. Store billions of vectors in a cluster of any size. Also in Rust which turned out to be an amazing choice, and fully open source. It uses various features to keep things performant, such as vecto

That MDN page has a lot of noise and is not straight to the point. I guess that may be a side effect of JS though.

Firefox's QuantumBar is amazing stuff! One of the main features why I'm sticking with the browser. Makes it super comfy. Some time back I wrote on it as well, along with some extra goodies: https://timvisee.com/blo

I use container tabs in Firefox to mitigate this. I have a "Garbage" container which unauthenticated YouTube. When I search something that I suspect will affect my feed in a bad way, I'll open it up in the container. The same

I still use my OnePlus 5 which is now (almost) 5 years old! It has 8GB of memory with Android 13 and a custom ROM. It's still faster than some phones that are released today. I agree though that some apps are extremely resource intensi

Containers are fantastic! Must have when developing/testing webapps with different user accounts, using a few containers. Miles better than juggling with other browsers or incognito mode.

The difference is that you'd also have to own the password store, rather than having to know about the hashing algorithm (which is open).

No! This is bad from a security perspective based on entropy. Passwords generated here still have the exact same entropy as the input secret. In fact, you might even decrease entropy based on the length selected. Entering a website, usernam
