If the customers are actively paying for a service that AOL is providing, despite not needing that service anymore, AOL has an obligation to mention that to them. Otherwise AOL is exploiting the technological ignorance of their own customer

Is this the same AOL that still gets a good chunk of money each year from people that never cancelled their 56k internet subscription when they got ADSL? I think AOL is one large moral-free zone.

After all, who has five minutes to spare these days to enrich their knowledge of the world around us? Everyone knows that if the information is important enough, the author will find a way to fit it into 140 characters. Well 110, with 30 ch

Agreed, it's not a very well labeled article. 'Programming Languages most submitted to CodeEval in 2014' would be better.

You are quite right. The implosion I refer to is the share price going up to $15 mid 2012, and dropping down to a fraction over $2 by the end of it. Its future is not bright, but it could still pull something magical out of its hat.

That's the purpose of the 'hot' algorithms that you get in a lot of ranking sites. In order to keep new content rising to the top, you can build algorithms that prioritise the rate of increase as well. Even weight the listens
