I've always wondered if you could combine CSP with water distillation (i.e. you evaporate salt water to steam to power turbines and capture the condensate) so that at the end you get both power and desalinated water.

As an intermediate to advanced Python text book, I would highly recommend Fluent Python. It covers a lot of the fundamental concepts in Python explaining why a lot of things are as they are.

I wonder if the next version of the raspberry pi would serve as a good system to run Windows on Arm on. If so, I could see opportunity for it to capture a large part of the low-end Windows market.

Not in my experience. Most companies I know much rather have permies than contractors. Pay tends to be quite a bit higher for contractors but without all the perks like pension contributions and leave that a permanent position has. However,
