I wonder if they got the space checked out by an architect, or some kind of inspector. Probably not, as that would be destroying the open platform of building whatever you want.

That's true, but don't forget that the skycrane was necessary because it's Mars. The atmosphere is thick enough to be a problem, but thin enough that you can't just use parachutes, and the gravity is high enough that only lightweight things

Which days these are depends entirely on the state and school district, at least in the US. Districts with a low or no Jewish population aren't likely to take Rosh Hashanah off, etc.

Balloons don't require anchor cables if you give them some rotors. Use the propellers to keep within a certain area, but you don't need to expend so much energy on lift. On the one hand, helium is running out. On the other hand, hydrogen ex
