It's possible in Python generators but in my tests the performance sucks particularly if the client can't receive fast enough. Using eventlet or gevent was much kinder to the system.

That's not the whole point, even if it's in your cache it takes time to evaluate. Jquery and jqueryui together are taking 300ms in my chrome - blocking the page painting

Wonder how many times you got asked how long you are going to hang on to Python 2.5 or even whether you/Django core devs get asked why can't they have Python 2.4 support. Not that I care that much for environments stuck in 2.4 land, its las

Personally the only reason that I am not using Python 3 right now is that Django doesn't support it, as that is the main library that I am supporting and using everyday. Other libraries I use are smaller, can be replaced, or I could rewrite

Friendly question - What is the reason for the delay, I haven't read much on the reasons why Django doesn't support Python 3 as I have been happy with 2.7 for ages.

Totally true, though its never quite the same. VMWare, Parallels & VirtualBox are getting there but still don't quite have the performance needed for doing video or intense graphics work.

I spun up 12.04 desktop on physical hardware with discreet nvidia graphic card ( I have a lot of experience with server ) and I must say I was hugely impressed by the usability of the system. Without thinking about it I was clearly able to

Why not give back to the root Nginx project rather than fork or have these features as compilable modules?

Not sure that I like this. The way we work is to do many merges and work on feature branches merging small merges to master. This is of course just our way of working but it potentially makes for more administration.

And it also happens to be really fast. I don't want to compare my framework to something that can be really performant.

It's still not your cheapest option in many ways, but sometimes. Cheap enough is good.

Another reason is that some people prefer the syntax of Less over Sass. Particularly if they want to work with devs/designers who are used to CSS.

Have been using them for just over 6 months with 3 machines currently. Highly recommended, no problems at all. And you can run VMware esxi on these offerings.

But that is the point, its gradually being ignored as there are other ways of achieving the same functionality natively. Personally I deal a lot with Video on the web, and although I have a Flash player my main body of development is in nat

Adobe yet again not getting it? I realize that one person does not the voice of Adobe make, but I would have thought that he would realize that Javascript is very often not used in isolation, and more often than not as part of a large suite

Redmine here. Currently loving it. Tried lots of others but the multiple projects and the fact that I could use plugins helps. BaseCamp was by far the worst for me.

How many more of these tutorials do we actually need? It doesn't actually go into any real detail on what is happening for someone new to trying to bring up a dev box, and it certainly doesn't help those of us more experienced. What about s

I would feel hard pressed to sell PostGres with PyPy as well supported at the moment. Django maybe, purely because it doesn't depend on too many C Libs.

Totally agree, Sublime really comes together when using some plugins and with this plugin it really makes the process of installing / trying or using / updating and removing very simple.

Flash does not outperform every aspect of the alternatives. The standard flash browser plugin can't even provide frame accurate playback, something that can be done with the video tag in chrome, IE9, Safari and Firefox. It does not out perf
