Have you considered running "untrusted" code in a worker? That way the code can not interfere with the global scope.

Thanks for building this, very cool project. I am considering using this to simulate web extensions for some automated analysis.

I just wish those methods were available on iterators (and return iterators when called on arrays) and a collect method that creates a new array (a bit like Java). That would reduce the overhead and keep the advantages of this functional st

AFAIK it is not possible to get access to only the URL. I think the "tabs" permission triggers the "Access your data for all websites" warning. The "tabs" permission is required to get a tabs URL and change it.

Yes this super annoying. Its almost daily I run into that issue. The contents of filename input are even selected.

AFAIK this is not possible. I don't think you can block request made by other extensions. I assume the API you were referring to is https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/Web...

I think this should be added to the Decentraleyes extension ( https://decentraleyes.org ) which does this for popular JS frameworks. There is already an issue for this: https://git.synz.io/Synzvato/decentraley

I think it is a matter of perspective. The book covers stuff you learn in the first two semesters when studying maths. So for someone who studied maths (probably the author) these are the basics.

On my laptop it is about 30% slower (tested with Firefox 64). However I agree, this was not very good advice for someone who just started programming with JS...

Also never use Math.pow for squaring numbers (used in the distance function) because it is significantly slower as it is designed for abitrary real exponents, not just integer ones. Cannot be learned soon enough IMO :) Still a very good job

Well it proofs the existence and there are many special cases they consider. If the number is a palindrome already there are many possible solutions. Using zeros is a trivial an the simplest solution. Using anything else would be abitrary a

Well it really depends on the size of the project. For small project I agree but for larger projects Typescript really helps to produce better and more robust code (and also faster if it's well integrated into the editor like VS Code).

It depends. Extensions cannot modify or do anything with the content of a PDF tab (I wanted to make a PDF dark mode extension). I wish there were special permissions for that.
