Alpaca seems to be the best one, though I'm sure someone will do a GPT-4 fine tuned of Alpaca soon and that'll then be the best one. Most of the other ones I've tried have been not good.

In short, my experience is that it's much worse to the point that I won't use LLaMA. The main change needed seems to be InstructGPT style tuning ( https://openai.com/research/instruction-following )
