One common issue I see with programmers is that they often think a knowledge of technology alone is enough to identify and fix problems in a field. You actually need a domain expert, or to become one yourself, within some field to even begi

Not hating on the artist in particular here, but at this point this style is so derivative and worn out it almost reminds me of the "sand filter" americans put on scenes meant to take place in mexico or the middle east. Obviously

This! Japanese shokupan bread sandwiches are an insult to the name sandwich. And the ingredients are always the smallest amount they dare put in too. You'd be laughed at in the UK for serving somewhere the same thing.

I dont know how anyone can think this. Japanese sandwiches are all rather bland, and they're very super cheap on ingredients - usually balancing a lot of the cheap ingredient and always gross shokupan. Its so hard to get a good bread

Military service isn't a protected characteristic or something inherent in a person. It's a choice, and one people may take issue with if they're anti-imperialist.

This isn't true everywhere though. You have the right to control over your likeness being posted where I live, people can't just post your face on the internet no matter where you are, public or not.

True, but younger kids walk around by themselves (mostly in groups) all around Japan. Japan is a weird case though where the cities are safer than the countryside.

Not to be facetious but the juxtaposition of the romantic description of the value of personal time you made against the last line link to some kind of walk-sharing social media app did give me a laugh. Completely agreed on every word thoug

Whats the man talking about in the video with the children? Liked the pics though - would be up for going if I had a guide. I feel like it's like when I went around rural China a bit, if you dont have a native its easy to get turned ab

I've read that urination actually helps by cleaning out the urethra after ejaculation, though, stopping some diseases - which some people think might be why men have the urge to pee often after sex. So it may not be as evolutionary cr

Right - I think we get a lot of in-built satisfaction and pleasure from being around or raising kids, specifically to offset just how annoying and difficult the task of raising them is.

Desperation does not give you the green light to do whatever you want to other people. Creepy is how you are perceived when you can't feel where that line is and step over it. Try thinking how their actions look from the receiving end,

True, I have heard of those people. The handful of Taiwanese people I know say only older people really feel that way anymore, though my mates are all in their 20s, mostly lgbt and living in Tokyo/Taipei - so I can't claim to have

Taiwanese are not Chinese though, so my point responding to OP wasn't about them. I mean people who are born & raised Chinese - they usually do want to be Chinese, even if its just in the cultural sense and not the CCP (but even

Surely you should be aiming this at the person who said "Even chinese don't want to be Chinese" - conflating the two, and not the person pointing out how incorrect that statement sounds.

Maybe my experience is limited as I only live in a neighboring country, but the majority of Chinese I know here, and those I have met in China identify strongly as Chinese, even if they dont agree with everything the government does. This t
