I worked in a WeWork for about a year. Their biggest gap, which they are nowhere near overcoming, is culture. The culture at WeWork is incredibly artificial and made everyone there feel disconnected and unhappy. A huge focus on sports and d

It seems like a more realistic/useful current valuation than many of these pie-in-the-sky valuations or acquisitions, given that they actually have real revenue, do a useful thing, etc... seems about right to me for today. Surely that

What's interesting to me is that Apple products generally don't have margins anywhere near this large. Apple's products aren't generally built the 'easiest' way possible for fast assembly and such. The optimiza

Until recently I was teaching for another 'coding bootcamp' (or something that could be described as such) and when I was reading the linked article/pdf my jaw was on the floor. We surely weren't perfect, but this type o

It does seem that if there's no way to buy from the USA that there's a hell of a business opportunity there. I know nothing about this, but if that gap exists and anyone wants to work on the problem together... let's do this?

Strange question; why didn't many games in this era exploit this? I'd guess that the knowledge just wasn't as easily shared? Seems these systems were capable of pretty amazing things, but those things were frequently overlook

While not NES, one of my students at General Assembly made a Chip-8 emulator/interpreter in JavaScript for their final project. Chip-8 has 30-something instructions and is relatively simple to implement, and test driving it is pretty e

A serious question; did developers in the 90's simply not know things that we know to be good and true today (mutability can induce bugs, consistent naming is good, global state is almost always bad, huge switch statements bad, various
