This is a joke, right? Many of these so called "antiviruses" are malware themselves.

Is it truly the case? 2015 is not that far away, and from a personal account she was happy to be there and proud to have her image used in a research community. When you read your article, it seems the _journalist_ tried to extract a saying

This should be the top comment. Not only by providing the correct SotA, but also noting that the graduate student, probably at an expensive University, was so "cheap" as not to buy the cheap tools for their research. Imagine physi

It depends of what you mean by browser environments (integration tests?), but vitest with happy-dom is working great for testing libraries and components.

I don't use StackOverflow anymore since ChatGPT launched. It's kind of not fair because a large part of ChatGPT being able to answer code questions correctly comes from the SO corpus... but... well life's unjust.

bun seems great and promising but I'm in the same boat. vite/esbuild with vitest is running perfectly, and already fast enough (and at last not struggling with webpack or rollup overall poor quality anymore...).

I would love to have a dedicated server to run custom LLM models like llama, alpaca, but with dedicated context and memory (like knowning my codebase :). I'm not an ai expert yet but: 1. Is this processor suitable for that? 2. Is it fe

The US is actually one the most corrupt countries on earth. What makes it worse: They always try to give lessons to the rest of the world, but meh. The result is here: Record homeless Americans, drug addicts in the streets, health crisis, e

Thanks! I may be biased but I like Unix composability principles :) Unless you plan to forever update your credit card on AWS, it can be better to develop without cloud and use one or more url shorteners to share (socials do it anyway).

How big are the patterns? Looks like the author implemented a server-side storage with tiny hash. Why not the data itself as base64? That would make it real serverless!

Part of the problem is they hired way too many non-programmers. Became like construction work with one guy working and 4 planning around.

Ok, it's 2/3 times cheaper but the reliability is clunky as it's hosted on a single device. With S3 I don't really care about what happens, do a snapshot myself, spend time restoring from snapshots etc. It's there.

It's mostly about costs. I have 1 Tb of pictures. For example DigitalOcean: 1 Tb volume storage (without the instance) is $100/mo. S3: $13/mo (most would be infrequent access) + traffic would prob be free (100Gb/mo, I do

Clickbait article. Same was said about the Internet back then! Also reminds of people doing symbolic AI (decision trees and stuff) that kept criticizing NNs telling they don't work, will never be able to tell why they have this output
