The phone as a device appears to definitely be biased towards consumption rather than production. Another message to add about creativity: don't forget about building real physical things. It is great to have digital wealth, but we als

> FireWire was possibly better engineered, but USB was better marketed. Yes, perhaps, but it had a big drawback. You could not build a Firewire device with a single die because of the high voltages. This added cost to the USB device (mem

I don't understand why one needs the DPA for this. Just issue a PO for a suitable value so that a vendor decides it is worth it economically. Attach the delivery schedule that is desired. If it isn't possible or it is a bad econom

I think you underestimate how many smart people proceeded you. Yes, in some cases there are new technologies that transform how we build things and using those from the start might put you in a better place. But in-between those inventions

I find I need to learn it all because I write code that interacts with other code. I find myself reading example code that uses advanced C++ constructs, or sleuthing though a 3rd party library to understand it. Every time I find a library w

On what do you base that opinion? I did a MS and PHD at Stanford and was blown away by how good the profs were and how hard they actually tried to teach well. I don't agree at all with your thinking. Perhaps you need to be a bit less g

A Deere X700, which is made in Horicon, is a <100HP tractor. They are real tractors with an optional PTO and 3-pt hitch. No tractor in the world is entirely made by a single company. For starters they all have various semiconductors in t

This is not correct. The Riding Lawn Equipment (RLE) is built in Horicon WI (as are the gators). The compact tractors (one series, two series, etc) are built in Augusta GA. The RLE has almost nothing from Yanmar in it except the diesels use
