It probably should have been more than 3 hours given that you likely mean "voltage" not "amps". Before everyone jumps on me, "it is the amps that kill you, not voltage", I understand electricity quite well and

Sometimes it is done as part of a talk and hence it is natural to be a video. But that being said, I normally skip over videos when looking for information on a technical topic. I find, for me at least, my learning to time ratio is far bett

It is called a heat loss calculation. HVAC guys do them all the time (or at least they should). There are online calculators.

I had to write some EFI/GPT code earlier this year and was dumbfounded to learn this. This is right up there with the mork file format.

I bought a Samsung Frame TV for my parents for a Christmas present. Dear lord what a mistake. So much software shit on that TV. After two hours of playing with it and Googling it, I still can't figure out how TO TURN IT OFF. WTF. Their

I don't understand this video. If it was 1996, then is wasn't about the Iraqi invasion because it hadn't occurred yet. The 1993 action was not an invasion of Iraq. The caption says something about Iran, but I can't imagi

I don't take testing advice from anyone who uses generic terms like "test coverage". Test coverage is a complex subject, but without a basic understanding, tests can create a false sense of security. Saying something like &qu

I think you just proved my point better than I could have ever done: Those most vocal about energy are generally the least informed. Let me guess, you have no formal engineering training, do you? EDIT: to make this comment more constructive

Heat exchangers running in ocean water are very difficult because they build up algae and other debris that can significantly reduce their efficiency. None of this is rocket science, it is all well known to anyone who actually wants to do s

You just don't "use" heat to make electricity. You need some sort of heat engine running a cycle. All those require temperature differential. This is basic thermodynamics and isn't going to change with new technology. Th

That is the point of the scientific method. You don't believe it because you read it once, you believe it when multiple people construct repeatable experiments that yield similar results. It is the essence of science.

Not a chance, while you can stretch out horizontally to make a 7nm look like a 180nm (conceptually, still has problems in reality), you can't do that vertically. For example, the gate oxide at 7nm works differently than at 180nm.

People can't consume more than they produce, unless they are riding on the coat tails other workers. Right now, America is used to riding on the coat tails of Asian labour and that is eventually going to come to an end.
