Same, but I can't shake the feeling that I am missing something, as some people are really insistent that FP is the _only_ way forward. I've had cursory glances at the ideas of FP and find it very difficult to understand (probably

How did you find learning Rust? You hear a lot about how steep the learning curve is. How suitable is it for web backends? I am just dying to get started with it.

I certainly am, yes. Spent about 12 years in the wrong career and then realised my love for programming (after a lifelong love of computers. Not sure how I missed that...) I started with Python (and Kivy). Then went on to Go (which felt lik

Please excuse my ignorance, but here goes: Been a Go dev for almost 3 years now. I am basically shitting myself over the prospect of all the Go code out there turning from something I understand, to something riddled with generics, of which

+1 for Dokku here. Been running 10 containers on the second-cheapest Hetzner instance available for years now. Never had any issues. My only, tiny gripe would be excessive space consumption on the somewhat small 20gb SSDs you get with Hetzn

Save yourself the click. This is the most pointless blog post I've ever seen. I should have known better, to be honest. Clickbaity title followed by no substance. The author asks a bunch of edgy questions like "wHaT wiLl hApPen wH

Random comment, but hoping someone may have an answer for me: Has anyone here managed to deploy multiple workers sites as part of one worker? Using KV storage, it should technically be possible to have one worker addressing multiple domains

Did you ever run into a scenario where you had to replace a single file specifically? I have found that to be quite tricky. There is some data for a site I'd like to be able to update dynamically, without redeploying the whole site (as

Long-time dokku user here. This seems interesting. How nicely does this play with more complicated things, like configuring ports for SSL, or using additional Dokku plugins? How about things like configuring the container network and things

Funnily enough, everything possible. Everytime there is a torrent alternative to the direct download, I will choose torrent, always. But, thanks to pirating stigma, torrenting hasn't proliferated anywhere near as much as it should.

Let's assume I want to run this on a Hetzner box. And let's assume all my activity is legit torrenting. Say, sharing linux distros. They are still not exactly going to be over the moon with my seedbox running on their servers, due

No worries :) Your are right, a Product Manager is still different from a Project Manager, but the lines can be blurry. I was a Product Manager as well, at one point, but I felt that was even more difficult than being a Project Manager. It

I say this in every thread with these sorts of issues: Not your keys, not your crypto. Keep this stuff locally and keep encrypted, non-local backups of your wallets or your wallet seed. That's the best way and insulates you against all

I kept my funds on Binance for a while, for convenience's sake. However, the old rule applies: not your keys, not your crypto. Keeping anything on an exchange, for the time being, is just too risky. This is another example of it. Gover
