Agreed - this company - besides having a solid internet retail business - has big potential in being a logistic backend for other fashion brands. None of the existing retailers have the tech chops to do what Shein does in terms of logistics

The difference is in the way they do logistics and on-demand/just-in-time production. Shein is deeply integrated with its suppliers - H&M and similar are not. Traditional retail - like H&M - has a markup of around factor 10 (me

With earnings at 2B and an IPO price around 50B it would make it one of the most interesting/attractive tech IPOs of the year. Edit: A bit about why Shein is special and what makes it "tech": https://sourcingjourna

Under normal circumstances I would agree with you. But is DB and they really need to go all hands on deck and fix their reliability problem.

I have a 3/2 28” monitor - while it looks nice - the ratio really doesn’t make much of a difference.

I use a similar monitor to this and I don’t notice the difference between 4K+ at 28” and the Retina display on my MacBook. The difference between the 4K and a 27” QHD that I sometimes use at work is quite noticeable.

Maybe Huawei simply stopped lobbying now they have alternatives - it is known they spent millions in US lobbying just getting the daughter of their founder freed.

I know Huawei is bad but what’s the logic here? The US kills off Huawei’s access to Google Android and TSMC. Almost completely killing their consumer business. But then hands them a lifeline: you can buy chips at Qualcomm (but not Mediatek)

Once you make something a standard it is hard to get rid of it even if there is an obvious better approach. Mapping is explicitly regulated so no need for an indirect barrier. AFAIK it is the same other places. If a Chinese company wanted t

I would guess the guy that maintained the Jia Tan identity was working out of Australia. The time zone is consistent with Western Australia and the work starts by "branching out" a not widely used Australian test framework. The ac

Yes. Test is a perfect place to hide an attack - reviewers pay far less attention to test code than the (what they perceive to be) production code.
