I looked into building the emulator for KOReader and it requires CMake, Meson, and autotools... Why are 3 different build systems necessary?

It's amazing to see FOSS music trackers still being made, each time a bit more modernized. Although the new "single instrument tracks" model may take a while to click for me, I think it may allow for more dynamic songs. P.S.

Audacious supports classic Winamp skins so if you're only after the aesthetics just use that. Alternatively you may be able to run the original Winamp through Wine.

The first one is such a simple feature yet I find it crucial for all music/podcast listeners. Not every video needs to be watched.

Out of all the other sans typefaces on Google Fonts, Inter is arguably the cleanest looking followed closely by Archivo. I'll take Inter over any of the "fancier" fonts any day.

It seems that TR1X is a game decompilation project while OpenLara is a new engine created from scratch.

As a reader I wouldn't mind another source of articles. It surely wouldn't replace HN but more variety is always welcome. I'm curious as to how you will handle content moderation; will everything be vote-based or will there b

Seconding this idea. IA especially is an astronomical gold mine and its benefits to humanity as a whole are immeasurable, I'm sure it could use non-monetary help beside the usual donation campaigns.

Consider publishing on F-Droid; the platform is open and decentralized, plus it's already gaining some traction outside tech-centric communities.

I immediately recognized the name Dietmar, he was a huge member on the Reboot forum doing all sorts of incredible projects. From creating tiny Windows installations to live booting Windows... It's great to see him still going! Archived

IE lost to Chrome/Chromium and Firefox. Windows Media Player lost to VLC and MPC-HC. BandiCam and FRAPS lost to OBS. The GIF format lost to PNG (for non-animated images). It's rare, but not impossible.

I would like to mention the LoA2K project[1] as well; an online library of missing and deleted vaporwave albums. Its website is modeled like an old Geocities page, with a fully functional web version of Winamp[2] for streaming the albums...
