Wow ... this story reminds me of Marshall Brain's Manna story. I don't understand how much money a company would lose if they changed the hours to 3 or 4 hours per person. Fine, they'd double or triple their workforce and hav

Interesting point about using the MBA as a career break. I suspect this is not rare.

I had some initial hopes. Didn't really get into using Kinect much. I was most excited about the weight loss possibilities of the old Dance Dance Revolution game (back in the old days). I also bought a wiifit back in the day that never

Latest update: developer behind the hit KHANAAS turns down a 3 billion offer. Says service is worth so much more. "We're shooting for a galaxy far, far away. No, seriously, we'll be exploring Star Wars memes next. Selling out

Two points: - In math, an innovative "attack" (such as a technique to approach a problem) can result in years of subsequent research that progresses a field. Zhang deserves a lot of credit for his accomplishment! - He shouldn'

The upside is much lower though if it goes to 2K at this point. I think a bunch of us want to kick ourselves because the insane upside is gone. i.e. 100x. Those crazy returns were usually reserved for VCs :-p I bought a small amount now. To

Looks pretty decent. Some suggestions: 1) The accent on the screencast is a bit heavy. No disrespect. But I'd suggest getting a professional voice over. 2) Don't use the word "bottom". Something about the pronunciation m

I didn't have as big of an issue with the business model than I had with the product itself. Seriously ... what happens when it rains? How do you navigate pedestrian-dense sidewalks? I'm not George W. but I have managed to crash o

That was the biggest "product release" disappointment I've had in my life. I was a naive kid ... huge fan of Kamen (actually, I still am a big fan of the man). IT was going to change everything!!! Bezos and a bunch of other b

I can think of a bunch of other use cases. E.g. Student spinning up an instance to work on an essay or powerpoint presentation. But yes, it looks like the pricing is not by the hour :(

Yes, it is if you are an out-of-towner. There is no Caltrain stop at the airport. You have to figure out BART and then figure out Caltrain. The shared van shuttle to MV sucks too ... especially if there are any Stanford students on board. O

My GUESS was that he/she means that the code has asserts in it that check if something is not right at runtime. I personally would not call that a replacement/alternative for unit tests. In fact, it may be counterproductive ... a

When I say content, I mean you have done some interesting work and would get called for an interview if you presented it well. Looks like another comment below said the same thing ... your resume ordering is not reasonable at the moment. Th

You have a decent resume (content-wise) but it can be vastly improved in terms of structure/presentation. I suggest you Google around for some good looking resumes. Add English to your list of fluent languages. Normally, you don't
