At 7KB, the favicon often makes up over 10% of total page size. At 256x256px and having only two colours, I think there's plenty of room to slim it down. I'm also curious why HTTP/1.1 is used as it's not 1999 any more.

A blog post, saying blogs still need RSS, without a human discoverable RSS feed. I'd post a comment pointing this out, but a 'Discuss' link to a 3rd party site, not part of the blog, remark.as tells me I need to login to writ

Blacklists are an antithesis of an open web. If that's where you stand, be frank that's what it is.

Assigning an ID to every single element means never encountering a problem? I imagine that results in everything being a special case, much of the point of CSS missed, and in this special case Tailwind might even work as it's consisten

You don't need to give every div and container a unique ID. Why ever do that? Many things never need their own ID. Are tons of divs and containers needed? When I find myself needing containers I usually find out I've not been thin

That's a shame, and bad use of htmx, these examples shouldn't be showcase examples. It takes careful but not extraordinate thinking to think of ways to get consistent results with or without JavaScript turned on. Indeed, when a v

Remember two things: Investors invest in a vision and people/teams. You're an employee, not the funded team. You may feel you're more than a wage taker, do the investors agree you are not a fungible coder? Development isn

Surely they reduce cost. Otherwise they'd not be used. A donkey and cart's cheaper than a haulage truck, but donkeys aren't used much in the haulage business anymore.

When choosing a company I often check their about pages, checking who they really are, etc. I came across Namecheap's affiliate marketing program, and they really seemed to treat affiliate marketers like shit. Now, think what you want

In abandoning Gandi due to recent changes, I've been quite happy with Netim, also France based. I've also been happy with Purelymail for email. More than happy.
