It's really quite difficult to lose weight and keep it off. Certainly cheaper than dentistry, but still difficult. I read a book called 'Fat Chance' that goes into the science of why it's difficult.

Or to put that another way, other people have to take risks that they are unhappy with in other to satisfy your risk preference and requirement for restaurant service etc.

No. It's not good. It enables the rich to travel while locking out others. A fair system would ration access to a scarce resource based on need.

"slightly more expensive" Reminds me of Caroline Lucas, when asked about her air travel, saying there should be a focus on taxing aviation fuel. What this all amounts to is travel should be restricted to the wealthy.
