The Google Maps team is losing core focus. Google Trips was recently killed and they are trying to "integrate" pieces of it into maps. Not impressed by this downward trend.

Don't use an sms/voice phone number as part of your 2-step verification in Google. In the past, I did use a verizon landline phone number as Verizon had the ability to "lock/freeze" that number from any outside chan

I only know enough to get me in trouble, but pcp is a general "framework" for performance monitoring... they have pcp versions/rewrites of all types of traditional monitoring utilities like vmstat, iostat, top. Note: they do

Google's 'shipping & receiving" seems to have a logistics problem. Fi support shifted to s & r, but they did nothing. The depts sound to be butting heads. Would love to know what's going on internally there.

I lived near and went to Action Park in New Jersey a couple of times. I was too young to ride the water speedboats and motor go-karts though... bah! Those were the days. The issue is one of scaling risk as the knowledge and responsibility

Damning article for Boeing execs... just one quote: “We don’t want to rush and do a crappy job of fixing the right things and we also don’t want to fix the wrong things,” Mr. Sinnett said, later adding, “For flight-critical software, I don’
